She/Her

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

It takes courage to learn about ourselves and discover new tools so that we can work towards a more fulfilling life. At different times in our lives, we encounter events that can cause emotional distress, leading to unhealthy feelings, behaviors, and patterns. It is my belief that by engaging in the therapeutic process, these effects can be addressed, processed and treated.

Therapy Approach

In my work, I view therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist and believe in meeting people where they are with interest and compassion, creating a therapeutic relationship that fosters deeper self-awareness, personal effectiveness, and meaningful change.

I specialize in working with children, teens, adults, and families. Just as each person’s needs and experiences are unique, my services are individualized and integrate multiple models of treatment including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy.

Experience

I graduated with my masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University in 2011. In addition to providing treatment in a private practice setting, I have worked full time at a non-profit mental health agency that provides school based counseling to children and teens. Through my agency work, I learned how to navigate Seattle Public Schools and various other systems in the community. I have gained valuable experience in providing therapy to all age demographics and families throughout the Seattle area.

In my years of experience as a therapist I have worked with people struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-harm behaviors, trauma, ADHD, relationship concerns, grief/loss and more.
